Overview
The Sr. LANN Supervising Attorney (Dispute Resolution) drafts amendments and negotiates complex legal terms and finalizes documents with landlords. This position also handles liens, condemnation and ADA matters, addressing any ADA-related real estate legal issues, landlord-tenant disputes, and/or general real estate issues. The Sr. Supervising Attorney reviews or drafts a variety of legal agreements, such as Exclusive Waivers, Signage Agreements, etc.
This position consults on dispute resolution, litigation, drafting complaint and respondent, conducting lease legal review, legal risk analysis and drafting legal responses to landlords. The Sr. Supervising Attorney supervises other associate(s), coaching and developing them to achieve the company’s growth goals.
- Drafts complex amendments and negotiates legal terms and finalizes documents with landlords.
- Handles liens, condemnation, and ADA matters; addresses any ADA-related real estate legal issues, landlord-tenant disputes, and/or general real estate issues.
- Reviews and drafts miscellaneous legal agreements, such as Exclusive Waivers, Signage Agreements, Consent/Amendments for CCRs, Easement Agreements, Non-Renewal Amendments, Settlement Agreements, and other legal documents from Property Management that involve REA approval.
- Provides consultation on dispute resolution and litigation; drafts complaints and respondents; conducts lease legal reviews, legal risk analyses, and drafts legal responses to landlords to mitigate exposure.
- Negotiates condemnation awards and settlements based on notification by state or federal government.
- Drafts, negotiates, and finalizes real estate site purchases/leases as needed.
- Supervises one or more associates, developing and coaching paralegals, less experienced attorneys, and/or support associates to elevate performance and support the company’s growth strategies. Assists leadership with selecting, hiring, and retaining legal associates.
- Builds and maintains valuable partnerships with critical stakeholders in and outside the department, reflected in feedback and acknowledgments.
Pay Range: L3: $169,000 - $210,000 / Annual. Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

- Law degree and licensed attorney
- Minimum seven years of real estate and contract negotiation experience with increasing management experience; asset management and/or retail/hospitality environment preferred.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
- If hired, completion of annual store training.
