User Experience Designer

This is a medical leave cover that may extend.

You Must live in California. Ideally, 2 days per week on site in Rosemead.

This role will be a member of our Experience Design team, which is a small and growing team, within the Digital & Process Transformation group.

This role is a strategy-first position split between 60% discovery and 40% design, focusing on the development of a LLM-powered chatbot for Training & Development. You will lead focus groups and workshops to extract requirements, acting as a forward-thinking consultant rather than just a UI executor. Beyond research, you'll partner with the onboarding team to architect how complex e-learning content is strategically presented within a conversational "digital workforce" interface.

• Planning and leading workshops to gather requirements to evolve designs.
• Interviewing users to understand current processes, pain points, and opportunities.
• Designing and conducting both informal and formal user testing, either collaborating with other designers, or independently.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related major.
• Seven (7) or more years of experience solving complex UX problems
• Experience working with multi-functional teams to achieve quality user experience.
• Experience leading UX discovery activities to gain an understanding of project requirements.
• Experience designing and facilitating usability testing.
• Skilled in standard design & wire framing tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma) and simple prototyping tools (e.g. Invision, Figma, Sketch)
• Experience creating high-level artifacts (journey maps, experience maps, personas, flow diagrams, etc.)
