Position: INPATIENT REGISTERED DIETITIAN

Registered Dietitian – On‑Site Inpatient Position (Per‑Diem Contractor)

Reasons Eating Disorder Center (REDC), located at BHC Alhambra Hospital, is seeking a Registered Dietitian experienced with eating disorders, trauma, substance use, and LGBTQIA+ communities to provide compassionate care to adults and adolescents in our inpatient eating disorder and behavioral health programs.

Responsibilities

The Program Dietitian works with the attending physician, Director of Virtual and Nutrition Services, and the treatment team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients. This includes completing nutritional assessments, developing meal plans, and providing patient, group, and family nutritional education. The Dietitian may also educate referral sources about eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Perform nutritional assessments on all patients enrolled in the eating disorders program and document findings in a timely manner.
  • Consult with patients and family members concerning nutritional needs, goals, and exercise objectives.
  • Develop meal plans for program patients based on individual energy needs.
  • Supervise clients at mealtimes to ensure meal plan compliance.
Qualifications
  • Licensure:
    Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) under the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nutritional studies.
  • Experience:

    Working with eating disorder patients strongly preferred; education in the field may be accepted in lieu of experience.
