Compensation: $100-130k base salary + commissions (OTE $110K-$150K)
SummaryWe are seeking a Sales Account Executive with a proven track record in wholesale distribution, licensed consumer products, and retail account management. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth across a broad portfolio of licensed products, including sports-themed apparel, accessories, and pet products. The ideal candidate thrives in building strong partnerships with retail buyers, distributors, and sales representatives, while managing multiple accounts in a fast-paced, competitive market.
CoreResponsibilities
- Maintain and grow existing wholesale accounts while aggressively prospecting and closing new business.
- Manage relationships with national and regional retailers, distributors, and specialty accounts.
- Engage, network, and negotiate directly with retail buyers and category managers.
- Oversee and support independent sales reps to maximize territory coverage and performance.
- Present new licensed product lines (sports, lifestyle, and pet accessories) to buyers, district managers, and executives.
- Travel nationwide to meet with retail partners, attend trade shows, and support sales initiatives.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve profitability, growth, and long-term brand visibility.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and strengthen account positioning.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships across the wholesale and retail ecosystem.
- 5–15 years of sales experience in wholesale distribution, retail account management, or licensed consumer products.
- Background in apparel, accessories, pet products, or related categories strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success working with retail buyers and driving placement into major retail accounts.
- Experience managing independent sales representatives.
- Strong knowledge of licensed products and/or an interest in sports.
- High-energy, creative, and results-driven sales professional with excellent negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel nationwide on a monthly basis.
