This role is ideal for motivated professionals with a proven track record in either first- or second-chair trial roles, particularly in healthcare and employment law.
Key Responsibilities- Lead litigation processes from start to finish, with a primary focus on healthcare and employment cases.
- Draft and present motions, pleadings, and briefs; manage discovery requests and responses.
- Conduct and defend depositions, representing clients in various legal forums, including courts and arbitration.
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies and defense tactics.
- Handle multiple cases concurrently, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with and support related practice groups as required.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission in New Jersey is required;
New York admission is advantageous or a willingness to obtain it. - A minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, including taking and defending depositions and trial experience.
- Exceptional skills in communication, writing, negotiation, and analysis.
- Exhibit integrity, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- Team-oriented with strong leadership, mentoring, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Flexible, intellectually curious, and able to tackle complex legal and business issues.
This role offers a competitive annual salary range of $170,000 - $225,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include eligibility for discretionary bonuses, merit-based pay increases, and origination credits.
