Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role requires extensive hands-on experience operating and setting up 3-Axis CNC milling machines
, ideally Haas and Fadal controls. The Senior CNC Machinist will play a key role in producing precision components, supporting process improvements, mentoring junior machinists, and ensuring quality and efficiency on the shop floor.
Hours: 1st shift
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot 3-Axis CNC milling machines, preferably Haas and Fadal
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Perform machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
- Edit and optimize CNC programs at the machine (G-code)
- Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Identify and resolve machining issues related to tooling, materials, or programs
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce scrap
- Maintain machines through routine preventive maintenance and cleanliness
- Train and mentor junior machinists and operators as needed
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and company standards
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet manufacturing goals
