Salary: $140,000 – $180,000, commensurate with experience
Job SummaryA well-established personal injury firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage complex, high-value cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in the courtroom, and is committed to delivering exceptional advocacy for clients in both State and Federal Courts.
Job Responsibilities- Serve as first-chair on complex personal injury cases in State and Federal Courts
- Manage full litigation lifecycle: case intake, investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and post-trial matters
- Prepare for and litigate trials, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and summary jury trials
- Conduct and defend depositions; manage written discovery
- Draft and argue motions, Orders to Show Cause (OTSC), and petitions
- Develop, execute, and adjust trial strategies to achieve optimal outcomes
- Review and analyze medical records, expert reports, and other case-related documentation
- Facilitate and promote settlement negotiations when appropriate
- Interview and evaluate prospective clients
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Manage a daily caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product
- Minimum 3+ years of first-chair personal injury litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of State Supreme and Federal Court rules and procedures
- Demonstrated experience handling complex litigation matters
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
- Proven sound judgment and ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
