The ideal candidate will be a licensed Radiology Technologist who exhibits professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service, while interacting with patients, guests and coworkers and the ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will administer roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operate x-ray equipment, develop film, prepare patient s room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provide patient services using imaging modalities.

Primary Duties
  • Prepare room, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed for patients. Clean and disinfect x-ray room and equipment. Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixtures for x-rays.
  • Prepare patient for x-rays, explain procedures, transfer patient to table, position patient, and assist patient at end of procedure. Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays. Adjust equipment, determine proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time. Arrange immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient and adjust the lead shield and select proper films.
  • Radiographs all incoming patients. Observe patient and machine during procedures and report unusual occurrences and record patient’s condition. Routinely maintain stock supplies and perform general office duties such as drafting reports.
  • Assist chief technologist in maintaining radiographic technique charts. Transport patients. Follow infection control guidelines applicable to the section. Efficiently take mobile x-ray unit to patient’s room or emergency room.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Radiology.
  • Maryland State License.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Registered.

This position has a hiring range of USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Yr.
