Accounts Payable Clerk

Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire)
• Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Share Point
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience Quick Books
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Experience in a high-volume invoice environment
