Area Supervisor

Area Supervisor – Ross Stores, Inc.

Ross Stores, Inc. is a leading off‑price retailer with over 2,200 stores. We are seeking an energetic, customer‑focused Area Supervisor to oversee store operations, support associates, and maintain a safe and engaging environment.

• Open and close the store, maintain inventory stations and back‑stock areas.
• Supervise associates, ensure high standards of customer service, and conduct training on cash procedures, loss prevention and front‑end best practices.
• Execute store safety protocols, secure entrances, monitor electronic surveillance, test fire alarms and respond to emergencies.
• Manage merchandising activities: receiving, markdowns, pricing and product presentation in assigned areas.
• Ensure compliance with dress code, safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete administrative duties: cash pulls, bank deposits, payroll editing, scheduling and miscellaneous tasks assigned by the store manager.

• Excellent verbal communication skills; fluency in English.
• Prior customer‑service or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of POS systems and ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and occasional overtime.
• Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a commitment to Ross’s values.

Physical requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and use store equipment, including registers, pallets and ladders.
