Cashiers provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the self-checkout area, proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities, and follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier coordinates the front-end team by expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
They provide first-level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching and training other Front End Associates.
- 1+ years of cashier experience preferred (Head Cashier).
