What

You’ll Do
  • Test samples of aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure only the best quality materials are used.
  • Play an integral part in reinventing the way our world is built.
  • Work independently with the support of a team to deliver high‑quality products.
  • Receive on‑the‑job training to develop the skills needed for success.
  • Prepare and interpret test data, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Location

Roseburg, OR.

Wage

$30.50/HR+, DOE, with potential for overtime during our busy season.

Shift

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Hours may vary based on business demands.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Obtain all applicable Quality Control Technician certifications during initial training.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Be willing to travel to various site locations in and near Salem.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of ethics and integrity.
  • Show good performance, safety, and attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and customers, both phone and in person.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Be willing to work nights, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Pass a physical exam and pre‑employment controlled substance testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently collect samples from asphalt, concrete, or aggregate plants, and various job sites.
  • Set‑up, operate, and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soil compaction.
  • Perform field tests for density and other properties.
  • Promptly report non‑compliant tests to the project superintendent when applicable.
  • Process samples using a variety of testing equipment and procedures.
  • Record data and enter information into computer systems.
  • Communicate with plant staff.
  • Perform general clean‑up and maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Communicate promptly with supervisors about any material flaws.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
