The position of CIS Instructor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.

As a Part-Time CIS Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching both college transfer and professional technical computer courses. The assignment may include courses in Visual Basic, PHP, Systems Analysis, Operating Systems, HTML, and introduction to computer information systems, networks, computer configuration, and microcomputer applications in word processing, database, and spreadsheets.

Umpqua Community College is located in beautiful Southern Oregon between the mountains of the Cascade Range to the east and the Coastal Range to the west. Required Qualifications:
- Commensurate with State of Oregon requirements of respective academic and/or technical field:
- Associate degree in the field with a strong computer emphasis from an accredited college or university or the equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience
Preferred (Not Required)
Qualifications:
- Three years community college teaching experience
- Five years of verifiable experience related to the field.
- Online instruction experiences preferred; classroom teaching experience desirable.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred for CTE faculty.
- Knowledge of common programming languages, business application software, modern operating systems, networks, systems analysis
