VISUAL ARTS/STUDIO ART INSTRUCTOR (POOL) —
Faculty Part-Time
The position of Visual Arts/Studio Art Instructor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.
As a Part-Time Visual Arts/Studio Art Instructor
, you will teach first and/or second year college-level visual art classes in one or more of the following areas: 2D and 3D Basic Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Figure Drawing, and Oil/Acrylic Painting.

Umpqua Community College is located in beautiful Southern Oregon. The area offers opportunities for outdoor recreation and culture, with easy access to larger cities via I-5.
QUALIFICATIONS- Education: MA in Visual Art or MFA in Visual Art or MA/MFA in specific visual art media (Ceramics, Drawing, Painting)
- Experience: Teaching experience required; visual art teaching experience at college level preferred

Skills:
Demonstrated experience in the media being taught; candidates should maintain personal studio practices - Specialized knowledge: Ceramics instructors must formulate glazes and operate/maintain kilns
