As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Microwave Installer Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Microwave Installer Assistant to join our field services team.

In this role, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of microwave communication systems at various sites. You’ll work closely with experienced installers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and comfort working at heights.

  • Assist the lead technician in the installation, troubleshoot and maintain of microwave communication equipment.
  • Ensure proper setup and alignment of microwave antennas and other hardware.
  • Support in conducting site surveys to gather necessary information for installation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on microwave systems.
  • Ensure that installations are compliant with safety protocols and company standards.
  • Document and report on the status of installations and maintenance activities.
  • Help with equipment testing to ensure functionality after installation.
  • Maintain and organize tools and materials required for installations.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and clients during installation projects.
  • Help prepare and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
  • Be on Standby with the team leader after hours and weekends when required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is a plus).
  • Prior experience in field services or telecommunications
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fully computer literate in order to do training, troubleshooting, etc
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to [insert weight], if applicable).
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
  • Basic knowledge of microwave communication systems
  • Ability to work at heights (e.g., on towers, rooftops, or elevated structures) with proper safety training provided.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Additional certifications such as First Aid, fire fighting
  • Must have a Working at Heights Certification (or willingness to obtain one).
