Introduction
The Report Writer and Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering accurate and insightful reports and analyses to support data-driven decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with reporting tools, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for stakeholders across the organization

Responsibilities:

Design, create, and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports.
Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and delivered within deadlines.
Automate reporting processes where possible to improve efficiency.
Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Provide actionable recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
Develop dashboards and visualization tools to make data more accessible.
Collaborate with various departments to understand reporting needs
Present findings in a clear and concise manner, tailored to the audience.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Maintain documentation for reports, processes, and data sources.
Timeliness and accuracy of reports delivered.
Stakeholder satisfaction with insights provided.
Reduction in manual reporting through automation.
Contribution to data-driven decision-making

Requirements:
Qualifications:

Grade 12 – Essential
Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field (advantageous but not essential).
2–5 years’ experience in a similar reporting or analyst role.
Experience with writing performant SQL queries by hand.
Proven experience with business intelligence tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View, SSRS).
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation

Knowledge & skills

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros).
Knowledge of databases, ETL processes, and reporting environments.
Familiarity with statistical analysis methods (advantageous).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong business acumen and ability to understand stakeholder needs.
