Senior Mining Draughtsperson

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Draftsperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive plant layout experience and proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel, along with a strong understanding of design standards in the mining and minerals processing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and modify detailed 2D and 3D plant layouts and drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to produce accurate design documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Utilize Autodesk Plant 3D and other Autodesk AEC Collection software to create advanced models and layouts when applicable.
• Translate engineering concepts and specifications into comprehensive technical drawings.
• Conduct site visits, as required, to gather data and ensure alignment between designs and field conditions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications in all drafting work.
• Maintain and manage the drawing database, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and technical reports.

Qualifications:

• Education: Relevant Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Diploma in Engineering or National Certificate/Diploma in Draughting.
• Software Proficiency:
• Proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel is non-negotiable.
• Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D and other Autodesk AEC Collection software is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant plant layout experience, preferably in PGM, Chrome, Base Metals Concentrators, and Smelters.
