SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Medical Director and/or Program Director, supervises the LPNs and provides medical care and support to patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- On Site daily
- Supervises LPNs
- Maintains emergency medical kit at each location
- Develops and implements a plan to train staff and patients in the use of Narcan kits
- Supports patients in medication administration
- Documents medication administration
- Performs TB and drug screenings within 72 hours of admissions
- Performs routine urine drug screens as directed
- Monitors and records vital signs
- Provides triage and medical services accordingly
- Schedules and coordinates medical appointments for patients
- Reviews and transcribes medication orders; monitors compliance
- Observes and records treatment responses; reports to medical staff
- Monitors ongoing medical problems
- Attends to minor injuries and routine medications
- Maintains all medical records
- Performs QA activities
- Performs EKGs
- Audits medication transport, receipt, administration, storage, and disposal

REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Current NYS license
- Current CPR, Child Abuse, and Infection Control certifications
- At least three years of related experience
- Qualified in nursing care for chemically addicted patients and withdrawal management
- Indoor office environment; uses standard office equipment
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; lift/move up to 20 pounds
- Regularly sit, type, handle objects, reach, talk, or hear
