- Monday – Friday:
Dependent on route, average 5 days per week. - Start Times range from 12:00 am – 3:00 am (dependent on route)
- End Times range from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm (until the route has been completed)
- Routes will not exceed DOT hours.
- Weekend work may be required based on business needs.
- Minimum of 1 overnight (layover) route per week.
As a Driver for Dawn Foods, you will support our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the distribution center by driving a tractor‑trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and Dawn team standards. This is a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position.
Qualifications- Class “A” CDL License in good standing
- Minimum of 6 months Class A Commercial driving experience
- Ability to work in the United States
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout work shift
- Ability to operate MHE equipment
- Experience delivering into food service accounts is preferred
- Lift‑gate, reefer, electric pallet jack and forklift experience helpful
- Computer skills or experience with electronic logs helpful
- Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating, recording and safe food handling procedures
- Conduct daily face‑to‑face interaction with customers, representing Dawn Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner
- In a DSD (direct store delivery) setting, break down product and complete shelf stacking at each stop
- Drive and maintain multi‑temperature trailers
- Offload with electric pallet jacks / two‑wheelers
- Perform pre and post‑trip vehicle inspections as well as collect invoice receipts generated from deliveries
- Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently
- Required vision: distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to focus
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures
- Normal setting: outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS‑monitored vehicle
- Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy
