Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Consolidator to oversee packaging and crating operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, leadership abilities, and familiarity with industry regulations such as FDA standards and CGMP compliance. This role is vital in ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant packaging processes while maintaining high-quality standards. The Lead Consolidator will play a key role in supervising team members, coordinating workflows, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Duties- Supervise daily packaging and crating activities, ensuring all operations meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain production flow.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, forklifts, and other equipment to facilitate efficient packaging processes.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and other industry standards related to manufacturing and packaging.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels and organize materials for production.
- Conduct quality checks on packaged products to verify accuracy, integrity, and compliance with specifications.
- Train and mentor team members on proper procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, safety incidents, and process improvements.
- Assist in assembly tasks as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and hand tools for efficient completion.
- Proven experience in manufacturing or packaging environments, with warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and industry best practices for manufacturing and packaging.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards and quality control.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and process management.
