• Operate a HGV Class 2 refuse lorry safely and efficiently in accordance with UK road laws and regulations.
• Navigate various terrains, including rural and built‑(_('up) areas, with care and precision.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle, conducting daily checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Collaborate with loaders to load and unload bins, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
• Plan and execute collection routes to optimise efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
• Adapt to changing circumstances, re‑route as needed to meet collection deadlines.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing public queries and representing the company positively.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, reporting incidents or near‑misses immediately.
• Perform any other duties required by the supervisor to support the team and company operations.
• Engage in company training programmes and meetings to stay updated on policies.

• Assist loaders during certain rounds to ensure efficient and timely waste collection.
