Our client, a public sector organisation based in Romford, Essex, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This exciting role offers an hourly rate of £35 and the chance to make a significant impact in the community!

Key Details:
Contract Type:
Temporary (3 months with potential for extension)
Hourly Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)

Location:

Primarily remote, with 1-2 days per week in Romford for site visits
Driving

Required:

Yes (Council pool cars provided)
Working Pattern:
Full-time, with occasional evening or weekend work

Your Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of over 100 alleged breaches, including investigations and site visits.
Serve enforcement notices and maintain evidence of notices served.
Write appeal statements and represent the council at hearings or inquiries.
Collaborate with the Team Leader and colleagues for ongoing support and training.

What We're Looking For:

Experience in dealing with the public, Councillors, and responding to MP enquiries.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent record-keeping abilities to ensure compliance and evidence standards.
