We are working with a welcoming primary school in Havering that is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with PMLD
. This part-time, long-term role is ideal for someone with a calm, patient and nurturing approach who is experienced in supporting pupils with complex needs
, including personal care and non-verbal communication
.

• Provide one-to-one support for a KS2 pupil with PMLD
• Support personal care needs with dignity and sensitivity
• Use alternative communication methods to support a non-verbal pupil
• Promote engagement, comfort and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
• Maintain a safe, supportive and structured learning environment

• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Patient, compassionate and reliable
• Able to follow care plans, EHCP targets and guidance from professionals
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
