A well-established SEN School in Havering is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis, with the potential to move into a permanent role.

• Experience supporting students with SEN
  , or a background in education, youth work, or care

• Flexible and patient, with the ability to engage students with a variety of learning needs

• Confident in providing 1:1 and small-group support, feeding back progress to teaching staff

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection in school settings

• Positive, reliable, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills

• Training in PECS, Makaton, Signalong, Team Teach or other SEN-related approaches is advantageous but not essential
