Job Purpose: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; load/unload RJW trucks/trailers and outside carriers safely using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded; and correctly store stock in the warehouse. Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers, maintaining forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.

• Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Ability to operate sit‑down forklift and/or walk‑ie rider.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Loads and unloads RJW trucks/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
• Flexible to work 10 to 12‑hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
• Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Processes outbound cross‑dock freight as necessary.
• Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moves product into storage racks.
• Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
• Records and verifies the accuracy of shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
• Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
• Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections.
• Handles all customer products properly and orderly.
• Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
• Reports all accidents/ incidents, employee damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
• Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.

• Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and can work with limited supervision.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and quality a must.
• Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and providing coverage to other shifts.
• PC skills helpful.
• Major experience on sit‑down forklifts/EPJs.
• Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
• Experience in cross‑docking freight process.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse.

• 3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit‑down forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Good stable work record.

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Warehousing certifications a plus.
