Overview
Warehouse Associate/CDL Driver with Hazmat (Full-time, Monday – Friday, first shift). This hybrid role requires approximately 90% warehouse work and 10% driving/delivering.
Simoniz USA is an industry-leading manufacturer of cleaning and protection products for auto dealerships, professional car washes, and providers of professional housekeeping and building maintenance services.
Responsibilities- Adhere to the work schedule, arrive on time, and work throughout the assigned shift.
- Unload trucks and receive shipments of finished goods and supplies; place items into inventory.
- Load trucks for outgoing shipments; move inventory manually and with equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies).
- Verify incoming shipments and record discrepancies or damage.
- Pick finished goods and merchandise according to the shipping schedule.
- Use UPS/Fed Ex software and barcode scanners as needed.
- Operate packaging equipment (e.g., shrink wrappers) and ensure transfer material paperwork includes Haz Mat descriptions.
- Maintain computerized inventory records and conduct periodic physical counts.
- Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
- Drive and deliver finished goods or raw materials to Simoniz customer locations, production facilities, or other designated sites; provide excellent customer service and respond to delivery requests.
- CDL Class B or C license with Haz Mat endorsement.
- Understand and comply with all DOT rules and regulations for commercial motor vehicle operators.
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read Bills of Lading and delivery instructions.
- Ability to make deliveries on time; communicate changes to the manager.
- Proficient with GPS and mobile phone use.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips; report condition issues.
- Maintain driver logs according to IC regulations.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and push/pull up to 100 pounds; stand, walk, reach, and squat frequently.
- Sitting and driving for long periods inside a truck.
- Exposure to wet/humid conditions, heat or cold depending on weather.
- Work near moving machinery and potentially caustic or acidic materials with proper training and PPE.
- Moderate noise from forklifts and equipment.
- Lift or carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Push or pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
- Stand, walk, reach, and squat regularly.
