Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Overview
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, and follows company standards to maintain a clean, organized store and proper merchandise presentation.
Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $15.50/hr
Essential Functions- Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
- Maintains awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Treats Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; greets Customers as described and answers questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner.
- Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customer Service requests; responds to service calls and escalates to Store Leadership when needed.
- Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Performs cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping, replenishing restroom supplies) to maintain a neat store and ensure merchandising standards.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company dress code.
- Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store that is well-maintained and efficiently merchandised to standards.
- Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandises items per monthly presentation guidelines.
- Follows loss prevention policies and merchandise protection standards.
- Follows cash, check, charge, refund transactions, and offline procedures with accuracy and security.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to use store equipment and stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; ability to lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Associates who work Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds.
