As a Quality Assurance Associate, you will assess shipments for labeling, packaging, general appearance, and construction quality. This role is also responsible for coordinating with merchandising teams and distribution staff on corrective action plans associated with failed inbound inspections. This detail-oriented role is perfect for someone who has a high attention to detail and a passion for service.
A day in the life as a Quality Assurance Associate...- Conducts inbound quality product audits using random sampling methods and acceptable quality levels
- Assess shipments for labeling, packaging, general appearance, and construction quality
- Creates and distributes inbound quality assurance reports and photo documentation to the merchandising teams and vendors
- Coordinates with merchandising teams and warehouse staff on corrective action plans associated with failed inbound inspections which may include:
- Returning merchandise to the vendor
- Correcting the product internally or through an outside third-party company to first quality status
- Communicates product characteristics, product issues, and inbound inspection results for new or existing products with delivery teams and DC / Crossdock furniture technicians
- Supports DC / Crossdock furniture technicians to determine product characteristics vs. quality issues
- Coordinates special projects and other activities at the request of warehouse management
- Maintains cleanliness and order of work areas
- Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
- Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
- Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
- Proficient at typing and basic computer operation
- Advanced English Language proficiency
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Possess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the position
- Previous machine operating experience is an asset; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn.
- Maintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Associate Policy manuals
