Material Handler - Shift

Position Description

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Romeoville, Illinois.

Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour.

• $0.75 per hour shift premium.
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday – Tuesday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Team player and diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Punctual with a good attendance record.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• High initiative.
• High accuracy under pressure.
• Lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.

• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Daily paperwork in warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support during core shift hour of production.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
