Position: Graduate Assistant, Faculty Center for Advancement of Teaching and Learning
The Staff Graduate Assistant in the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will complete special projects related to supporting assessment and online course development as assigned, under the direct supervision of the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning or designee.

Responsibilities

Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

* Participate in committee/office meetings as requested.

* Interact professionally and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from across campus who are associated with the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.

* Independently organize, manage, and complete special projects per established timeline as assigned.

* Assist with creating tutorials as directed.

* Assist with special projects as assigned.

* Provide technology assistance for walk-ins when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled as an unconditionally admitted student in a graduate program at Lewis University in good standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0). Demonstrated ability to complete projects independently, consistently meeting specified expectations and deadlines.

Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Excellent writing and proofing skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications, (minimally Word, Power Point, and Excel).

Ability to organize and complete multiple projects effectively as assigned. Detail orientated.

Willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience and familiarity with online coursework and online tools (e. g., Blackboard.

Experience with Google Apps.

Essential Duties Work hours

Part time; minimum of 20 hours per week; year round position. This is not a remote position.
