Position OverviewDeliver specialized instruction utilizing research-based teaching techniques that address the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of K-12 students with visual impairments.
- Adapt the curriculum and modify instructional materials to meet the specific learning requirements outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Partner daily with support personnel, teachers, and parents to foster strong relationships and promote overall student progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Blind or Visually Impaired Endorsement
- Proficiency in Braille (UEB) and knowledge of assistive technology for the visually impaired.
- Previous experience as a TVI or in a K-12 special education setting (Preferred)
- Earn $39.70 - $46.30 Per Hour
