About the Position

Supervise and coordinate nursing staff in the inpatient unit to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Oversee daily nursing activities, including staffing, patient assignments, and workflow management.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver patient-centered care, especially for geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, and Alzheimer’s patients.

Monitor patient progress and intervene as necessary to maintain safety and quality of care.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards.

Maintain accurate documentation and reports.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staff.

Perform physical tasks related to patient care, including lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, and handling loads up to 50 lbs or more as needed.

Requirements

Registered Nurse licensed in New York State (NYS)

Minimum 2 years progressive nursing experience in a geriatric or similar setting

Supervisory experience preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks related to patient care

Experience with geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, and Alzheimer’s patients is desirable
