Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Step-Down

Location: Rome, NY 13440

Duration: 13-week contract (ASAP start)

Shift:
Night Shift | 12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical Step-Down unit

• Monitor and manage patients requiring step-down and telemetry-level care

• Maintain patient safety with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 6:1

• Administer medications and perform ongoing patient assessments

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

• Document patient care accurately using Paragon EMR and Pyxis systems

• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Step-Down or Telemetry RN experience

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)

• BLS

• ACLS

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

• Experience with Paragon EMR

• Experience caring for adult and geriatric populations
