Software Quality Engineer – Open Shift Virtualization (EMEA)
The Open Shift Virtualization team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer. In this role, you will work on industry‑leading technologies such as Red Hat Open Shift, Kube Virt, Libvirt, and Qemu to ensure that we produce the highest quality virtual machine storage capabilities.
Design, develop, and maintain automation in Python with Pytest for Open Shift Virtualization testing and implementation.
Research new features, design test plans, and write test cases.
Execute manual and automated tests and deliver clear status promptly.
Conduct failure analysis, identify and document new bugs, advocate for resolution, and communicate impact to customers.
Coordinate cross‑component teams for bug verification and regression testing.
Work in a fast‑paced Agile global environment with talented QA engineers.
Constantly learn new technologies and maintain an overview of current tools.
Provide mentoring and leadership to junior QA engineers.
2+ years of experience automating test cases in Python with Pytest.
2+ years of professional experience in QE or similar roles.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science or a related field.
Experience working with globally distributed team members.
Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.
Knowledge of the Linux operating system (any distribution).
Familiarity with virtualization platforms and concepts.
Familiarity with storage concepts (SAN, NAS) and storage APIs.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
