Job description
A well-established international school in Rome is seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Secondary to lead its Middle and High School provision.
Reporting to the Head of School, the successful candidate will provide strong educational and operational leadership across Secondary, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, student wellbeing and the effective delivery of international curricula.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the academic, pastoral and organisational leadership of the Secondary School, including staff development, curriculum implementation and engagement with the wider school community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership for Middle and High School

• Ensuring excellence in teaching, learning and assessment

• Overseeing the successful delivery of IGCSE and IB programmes

• Leading, developing and supporting teaching and leadership teams

• Promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performance school culture

• Ensuring student safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care

• Working closely with the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team on whole-school strategy

• Building strong, constructive relationships with parents and the wider community

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant senior leadership experience in an international secondary school environment

• Strong knowledge and experience of IB and/or IGCSE curricula

• A proven track record of leading teams and driving school improvement

• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

• A clear commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
