About the Role As a Radio Runner, you are the backbone of our tour logistics at the Colosseum. You'll be responsible for preparing, delivering, and managing the radio equipment used by our tour groups. This behind-the-scenes role keeps everything running smoothly, from the office to the meeting point and back, multiple times a day.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and organize radio equipment at the office before each shift, ensuring all units are charged, functional, and accounted for
Transport radios to the Colosseum meeting point by bike, delivering them on time for each scheduled tour
Distribute radios to the guests and guides for each group
Collect, inspect, and return radios to the office after each tour
Resolve any technical issues with equipment on the spot (swap faulty units, handle connectivity, etc)
Maintain an accurate inventory count throughout the day and report any damaged or missing units
Keep equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition
Coordinate timing with the Check-In Host and guides to ensure seamless handoffs
Availability & Schedule This is a freelance position : candidates must have open availability throughout the week
Minimum commitment of 2 weekends per month required
Shifts rotate between morning and afternoon . Flexibility across both is essential
Holiday availability is expected
Requirements
Languages:
Fluent English and Spanish required;
Italian is a strong plus
Candidates must have their own bike , as the role requires commuting between the office and meeting point multiple times per day.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Extremely punctual and reliable. xpavfwm Timing is everything in this role
Calm and effective under pressure, especially when dealing with last-minute equipment issues
Friendly, respectful, and professional in demeanor, even though guest interaction is limited
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
