Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

What you’ll do
  • Be a Team Member:
    Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians, communicating and developing interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
  • Be an Expert:
    Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality, while demonstrating knowledge of Point of Sale systems and phone/in‑person selling techniques.
  • Be a Techie:
    Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, training, and encouraging others to use them.
  • Be an Owner:
    Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to TBC Lead; track and monitor returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, work hands‑on in the physical area, maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, report remarks, and complete paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador:
    Act as a brand advocate, valuing the member’s experience, modeling high‑quality service, influencing and inspiring others, and working in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style. Understand roadblocks and assist in training team members.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
  • Complete work assignments using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to identify priorities and recommend improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Auto service industry experience.
  • Retail experience.

Additional Compensation

Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
