On-Call RN’s

Our week-day and weekend on-call RN’s provides prompt 24-hour nursing support for hospice patients from Monday at 5pm through Friday at 8:30am and Friday at 4:00pm through Monday at 8:30am. Support may be in the form of telephone triage or face-to-face visits depending on the needs of the patient and family. The Hospice on-call RN is responsible for completion of after-hours admissions and attends patient deaths supporting the family through this end-of-life process.

These positions maintain a focus on customer service that exceeds the expectations of patients and their families.

This role is for our Rome, GA Office.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One (1) to two (2) years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting, and one (1) to two (2) years of recent experience in home care.
• Current licensure in State and CPR certification.
• Bachelor's degree, with one (1) year of hospice care experience preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping bending, kneeling and/or crouching. Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
