Where You Will WorkOur unit is a 23-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neurological care. We are recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and hold Advanced Spine Care Certification, ensuring the highest standards of treatment and monitoring for complex neurological conditions.
Primary Population- Stroke patients requiring specialized interventions
- Elective spine surgeries with advanced post-operative care
- Seizure disorders needing continuous observation and management
- Patients requiring progressive/step-down level monitoring and interventions
We also provide care for patients with other neurological conditions, including:
- Myasthenia Gravis
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- Huntington’s Disease
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease
ACLS
Preferred Experience (not required)Telemetry; critical drips such as Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin; NIHSS;
Neuro patient care experience
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Add additional preferred qualifications
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
