- Creates, plans, implements, and coordinates orientation for individuals new to the nursing unit/department using the ANPD standards of practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation with the NPD Practice model using inputs, through puts, and outcomes to ensure a systematic approach to onboarding orientation.
- Adjusts implementation strategies as needed based on the learner’s developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language, and cultural preferences.
- Engages learners in planned educational activities through use of effective facilitation skills
- Creates, plans, implements, and coordinates activities related to training of new graduates, experienced nurses, and ancillary staff new to the unit/department based on collection of data that is used systematically and purposefully to ensure relevant and evidence-based learning for each clinician.
- Develop/coordinates education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation.
- Working knowledge of word processing, data management, email, and presentation applications. (Required)
- Effective professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills. (Required)
- Knowledge of the American Nurses Association (ANA)/Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development (Required)
- Self-directed, creative, and demonstrates initiative to fulfill the seven roles of the NPD practitioner: learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for inquiry, advocate for the NPD specialty and partner for practice transitions. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, OSHA) for professional specialty served. (Preferred)
- Bachelor s of Nursing [Required]

- 2+ years nursing experience (Required)
