Primary

Purpose:

Maintain and repair production and manufacturing equipment while providing support to peers and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to all established Kerry LIFE Safety, Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and processing policies with an eye towards Quality.

Adhere to all LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures while performing work on equipment as required.

Never take shortcuts or use improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others.

As a Maintenance Technician Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment.

This includes, but is NOT limited to:

Performing regular (continuous) services to our internal customers.
Preventative maintenance procedures.
Predictive maintenance procedures.
Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

Work with team members to achieve the highest efficiency.

Communicate with maintenance leadership on shift.

Participate in shift pass-downs.

Complete appropriate paperwork. And SAP.

Follow proper escalation protocols.

Minimum Requirements

Electrical experience preferred.

5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery.

Proper bearing installations.
Proper alignment techniques, (sprocket/sheave alignments, coupling alignments).
Use of measuring tools, (tape measures, calipers, gauges).
Reading mechanical schematics.

Electrical knowledge of industrial machinery.

Motor wiring skills.
Electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proper use of electrical meters.
Reading electrical schematics.

Organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.

Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.

Ability to be a team-player.

Median computer and report writing skills.

Effectively communicate with leadership across maintenance and other departments.

Preferred

Skills & Qualifications

Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment.

Use and understanding of Predictive tools

Infrared Thermography
Ultrasound

Working Conditions

Food manufacturing plant
Warehouse environment

Physical Requirements

Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.
Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule including Night-Shift.
Ability to walk up to 200 feet one way many times a day.
Ability to continuously stand/walk up to 12 hours.
Ability to climb stairs or ladder.
