Pay RangePay Range: $41.10 - $61.65
Education / ExperienceB.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from accredited physical therapy school. Previous hospital experience preferred.
Licensure, Certification, and RegistrationCurrent licensure in the applicable state and CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level
C.
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Following hospital, departmental policies and procedures.
- Provides patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring evaluations and treatments are comprehensive and functional.
- Maintains accurate documentation, completing written patient evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes and ensuring legible records.
- Supervises support staff with direction and feedback.
- Maintains productivity standards and adjusts schedules to meet patient and department needs.
- Participates in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services, identifying opportunities and communicating progress.
- Promotes professional development, conducts in‑service training and shares clinical expertise with other health care professionals.
- Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, staff and external customers, ensuring understanding.
- Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with age/ developmental guidelines, maintaining competence in growth, development and aging.
- Communicates professionally with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, providing quality care for patients.
- Communicates with patients of all age groups and significant others appropriate to the level of comprehension.
- Has knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of the patient throughout the entire span of life.

• Frequent exposure to blood borne pathogens and airborne pathogens, potential exposure to infectious diseases.

• Subject to electro‑mechanical hazards.
• Exposure to chemicals used in cleaning.
• Occasionally handles emergency or crisis situations.
• Required personal protective equipment: eye protection, face protection, gown, mask, lab coat, sterile and non‑sterile gloves, shoe covers.
Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching with arms, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs. maximum.
