Part of Artex Risk (), the AVP‑Business Development will develop and acquire new business revenue from new and existing clients and assigned prospects in identified sectors or market area. They will develop and maintain a distribution of broker partners.
How you'll make an impact- Provide expertise in alternative risk products to broker partners and both mid‑market and large accounts.
- Identify client needs and develop custom solutions.
- Client‑facing with a track record of working effectively with decision‑makers within clients.
- Establish and develop emerging relationships with economic buyers of varying complexity.
- Provide technical competency to create innovative solutions.
- Establish credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internally.
- Possess senior executive client communication and negotiation skills (oral and written).
- Communicate market/industry perspectives and applications to specific client situations.
- Communicate and capture the value that Artex brings to clients.
- Demonstrate new business production abilities as well as a seasoned new business production history.
- Ability to generate $500,000 or greater in new business revenue.
Required:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years experience. Appropriate insurance licensing required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of proven experience.
- 3+ years of experience in selling alternative risk products.
- Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of the insurance industry and our products and services.
- Experience with in the insurance industry preferred.
- Demonstrated capability to adhere to and champion the sales process.

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
