The City of Rolling Meadows is seeking two (2) Public Works seasonal maintenance interns within the Public Works Department in 2026, generally between March and November. Positions are available in the Streets and Operations and Underground Utilities and Water divisions. Applicants must be 18 years or older, be able to read and write at a 12th‑grade level, have a valid State of Illinois Driver’s License, and be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Positions assist with a wide range of responsibilities that generally include both inside and outside work in the community, answering requests for service, interoffice mail distribution, assistance with community event set up and take down, and data collection using GIS technology. More specific examples of responsibilities in each division are as follows:

Salary is $15.00 – $21.73 per hour / D.O.Q.
