Electrical Engineer, T2

• Researches, designs, develops, tests, and identifies improvements or corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including Lasers, Laser Transmitters, Ultraviolet sensors, Infrared sensors, system Processors, along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems.
• Troubleshooting production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and identify corrective actions.
• Support production floor and test technicians.
• Lead/support non-recurring (NRE) projects.
• Optimize processes to reduce costs and increase throughput.
• Maintain processes and procedures in accordance with ISO standards.
• Work with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues.
• Create and analyze metrics/data.
• Hardware integration and test.
• Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master of Science (MS) degree in an equivalent field.
• Experience with troubleshooting electronic hardware – basic RF or digital troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power supplies, network analyzers, etc.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizen.

• Experience with lasers and optics.
• Experience with data analysis and root cause or corrective actions.
• Experience troubleshooting test stations.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing unit hardware.
• Experience coding to create scripts or automation.
• Experience in Python or C# is a plus.
