Electrical Engineer, T2

- Researches, designs, develops, tests, and identifies improvements or corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including Lasers, Laser Transmitters, Ultraviolet sensors, Infrared sensors, system Processors, along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems.
- Troubleshooting production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and identify corrective actions.
- Support production floor and test technicians.
- Lead/support non-recurring (NRE) projects.
- Optimize processes to reduce costs and increase throughput.
- Maintain processes and procedures in accordance with ISO standards.
- Work with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues.
- Create and analyze metrics/data.
- Hardware integration and test.
- Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master of Science (MS) degree in an equivalent field.
- Experience with troubleshooting electronic hardware – basic RF or digital troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power supplies, network analyzers, etc.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Experience with lasers and optics.
- Experience with data analysis and root cause or corrective actions.
- Experience troubleshooting test stations.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing unit hardware.
- Experience coding to create scripts or automation.
- Experience in Python or C# is a plus.
