We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team. Under the guidance of the North American Purchasing Manager, the successful candidate will source equipment, goods, and services, and manage vendor relationships. Responsibilities include maintaining adequate inventories, ordering supplies, managing stock, removing non-usable items, and resolving inventory discrepancies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Day shift position with support for “off-shift” hours as needed. Flexibility to support emergency and shift requirements.

WHERE YOU COME IN:

• Operate a forklift
• Conduct monthly inventory counts and reconcile records to support operations
• Support audits and internal processes
• Plan and place purchase orders for raw materials to meet supply targets and replenish inventories
• Track purchase orders for on-time delivery and expedite as necessary
• Process receipt and issue transactions for materials
• Assist with purchasing and crib functions as backup

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Degree in business, warehouse, or inventory management with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Self-starter with a sense of urgency and responsibility
• Analytical skills for accurate inventory management and transactions
• Ability to work physically in a manufacturing environment, including lifting materials
