Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Area Manager is responsible for managing operations for several schools within an immediate metro area, usually through subordinate School Directors. The Area Manager creates and implements a strategic plan to drive results and manages resources to achieve competitive advantage.

• Ensures school standards are maintained in accordance with licensing authorities, ancillary government programs, and company policies and procedures.
• Keeps abreast of current and future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, competition, and marketplace.
• Assists School Directors to develop an operating business plan to address growth strategies, and drives schools to achieve and surpass revenue goals and profitability.
• Monitors marketing initiatives to focus on enrollment growth, representing the school’s brand in the community and maintaining a high‑quality reputation.
• Establishes and maintains systems to ensure company initiatives and policies regarding safety and supervision are implemented.
• Assists in handling emergency situations, crises, or hostile behavior in a calm and professional manner.

• Must supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel to achieve high performance and morale.
• Must be approachable, people‑oriented, and a good listener.
• Must communicate effectively and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must be a change agent able to develop, implement, and maintain policies and processes.
• Must be a creative, independent thinker.
• Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm.
• Must possess solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Requires ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

• Associate degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related degree; or equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience.

• Minimum of five (5) years of childcare related experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Experience leadership in managing staff, budgets, and multiple functional areas.
