Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery (Rogers, Arkansas)

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing seeks a skilled Labor & Delivery RN for a 13‑week travel assignment. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence‑based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.

• One year of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (preferred).
• STABLE and ACLS certifications (preferred).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required.

• Critical thinking and service excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Computer proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and perform manual tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Fine‑motor skills for assisting in procedures and using equipment.
• Coping with frequent contact with the public, meeting deadlines under pressure, and working with irregular schedules.
• Visual acuity and effective communication (sensory).
