A well-established manufacturing organization with a climate-controlled indoor workshop is seeking an Indoor Workshop Associate to support crate building and general shop operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, building with precision, and taking pride in craftsmanship while maintaining a steady work-life balance in a safe, organized environment.
Hours & Pay
- Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
- Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM
- Employment Type: Temp-to-hire
What You'll Do
- Build wooden crates and packaging components according to the provided specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately to ensure product protection and quality.
- Operate power tools such as pneumatic nail guns, hand-held drills, saws, and fixed cut-off saws safely and effectively.
- Perform general shop and workshop duties to support daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
- Follow safety guidelines, procedures, and work instructions consistently.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production expectations.
- Stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift while performing physical tasks.
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 6 months of carpentry, woodworking, or crate-building experience.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and assembly.
- Dependability and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and basic problem-solving skills.
