Pay: $23.50/hour
GUARANTEED $0.50 RAISE AFTER 90 DAYS.
SummaryFabricates and assembles structural metal products such as framework or shells for machinery and metal parts by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
- Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto workpiece.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Hammers, chips, and grinds workpiece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
- Preheats work pieces.
- Positions, aligns, fits, and welds together parts.
- Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications.
- Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.
- Completes General Maintenance duties.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet, humid, hot and/or cold conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Education and/or ExperienceOne year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
